We learn as much about our clients as possible through meetings with senior executives and key decision-makers or stakeholders. By understanding their business and their organizational culture, EMA Partners creates comprehensive specifications that define the requirements for each specific search. This creates a detailed and customized profile of the candidate who will best fit the position.
Identifying the Candidate
We identify the most promising locations where targeted individuals will be found and source individuals who are outstanding in their field. EMA Partners use their own industry and professional contacts which have been developed over a number of years. This gives us an advantage in any given regional or national market. When an international search is required, our worldwide network of partners will develop and execute a global search strategy.
When we identify a targeted candidate to be interviewed, we arrange to meet in confidence to determine their suitability and interest in the position. As we develop a short-list of actively interested and qualified candidates, each individual is interviewed in depth and evaluated by EMA search professionals. Evaluations and detailed reports are then prepared for our client on the candidates that most closely match the position’s requirements.
Finalist candidates are scheduled for interviews with our client’s key decision-makers. We will assist our client to determine interview strategy, methodology and approach. Afterwards, we meet to discuss the findings and results of the interviews.
The Offer Stage
Once a lead candidate is identified, a detailed background check is undertaken and reference checks are completed. EMA Partners can prepare the offer of employment, including terms and conditions, and if necessary, we can negotiate the final employment and compensation package.
Once the successful candidate has accepted the offer in writing, we personally contact the other candidates thanking them for their time and interest and informing them of the decision.
EMA’s practice is to follow-up with each successfully placed candidate during the first year of their employment to ensure smooth transitioning into the role, and to make certain that both the candidate and the client are completely satisfied with the outcome.
